Kislovodsk National Park. Through times and fates
About the project:
Kislovodsk National Park is a unique preserved territory in Russia. It is a picturesque complex where the architecture of the Russian Empire times, the culture of the nobility and amazing nature are concentrated in the area of 966 ha. Unbelievable that those kilometers of alleys and hectares of forest were created on desert slopes by men. That is why the main goal of the book project was to show the history of the Park through close connection with biographies of people whose fates were intertwined with the Park’s fate.
The packaging:
Designed box and gift key in the form of the building of the Narzan Gallery.
Design goals:
To create a special edition that refers to 19th-century books and aristocratic society. Colors of the cover and block are associated with the sun, greenery, rocks of the Park. Photo possessing under old postcards creates an additional effect of contact with history.
Content goals and structure:
To find unique historical information and photos and to create interesting for a wide audience texts. The book has 20 chapters as 20 the most notable objects of architecture and landscape design were chosen. Each chapter consists of three parts: photos in chronological order, description of the object and the story of the historical person related with this object.
